What could be better than camping with your horses and friends in our beautiful "river" sites, or in our main Western Village horse camp? Your equine partner will love the fresh air and change of pace, and spending "quality time" with his humans! Horse campers have access to all resort amenities, so get your reservations in soon!

All horse camping sites are equipped with BBQ grills and picnic tables. Water & electric sites are located near the cabins and wagons under shady oaks, an easy walk from the corrals. The dry (rustic) sites are in two locations: near the corrals in the Western Village and along the Santa Ynez River bed, with towering oaks and shade. These "river" sites also have water to the corrals, BBQ grills and picnic tables.

Your equine friends will have plenty of room to stretch in our pipe corrals easily visible from your cabin, wagon or campsite. There are large water buckets in each corral and water hoses everywhere!

Long term horse boarding is available starting at $195/month for pasture board.

As our guest, you can warm up for the trail in our competition-size arena, or work your horse in our round pen. The Los Padres National Forest trails are a quick 10-15 minute ride from the pipe corrals. Guests of Rancho Oso do not need to purchase a daily forest use pass to ride into the National Forest. Be sure to ask us for a trail map.

Nobody goes hungry at Rancho Oso! If you don't want to cook every meal in your campl, our Stone Lodge Kitchen serves family-style meals on weekends and holidays, year round. The Chuck Wagon is open for lunch on weekends and holidays during the season, and is located near the cabins, wagons and corrals. The Country Store is open daily with a complete selection of snacks, drinks, ice cream and camping necessities.

Trail Maps

RV Hookup or Dry Site HORSE CAMPERS ONLY*:

$40.00 per night/per site. Maximum four (4) people per site.

Includes RV, truck or car. A second car or truck on same site is $5.00 per night. Horse trailers no charge. Maximum 2 vehicles and 2 tents per site.

More than four (4) in a party requires purchase of another site. Only those bringing horses can camp in RV or tent sites.

$8.00 per night per horse - bring your own feed.

We will provide feed for an additional $8.00 per horse per night, with advance notice only.

Long term horse boarding is available starting at $225/month for pasture board

Rancho Oso Cancellation & No-Show Policy

Cancellation Policy:
There is no fee for canceling a reservation 7 or more days in advance. A trailer, cabin, wagon or campsite cancellation with less than 7 days notice will be charged a 2-night fee (or a1-night fee for a 1-night reservation).

No-show Policy:
If a guest does not cancel and fails to arrive for a trailer, cabin, wagon or campsite reservation, the credit card on file will be charged for the entire amount of the reservation.

Groups:
(Reservation of 3 or more trailers, cabins, wagons or campsites) At 30 days prior to arrival, all charges on your reservation will be due. You can add trailers, cabins, wagons or campsites if they are available but no refunds will be issued for any pre-paid group reservations that drop campsites or rental units under 30 days prior to arrival.

Best option for groups is for everyone to make individual reservations with their own credit cards.
